4 Quick Tips for Road Biking
#1 Never ride your bike against traffic.

You will want to move with traffic and try to stay as far to the right as possible. If you are riding with a friend, try to keep close or stay in single file so cars can pass safely.

#2 Don’t forget to use hand signals.

When making a left turn, extend your left arm out to the side, and vice versa to your right. If you’re coming to a complete stop, signals can vary. You can raise your hand overhead, or extend your arm back while closing your fist.

#3 Keep your head up.

Try to keep your eyes roughly 20-30 feet ahead of you to prepare for any upcoming twists or turns.

#4 Wear your helmet!

Safety first, right? Make sure your helmet is nice and snug to protect your head and avoid injury.

 

Road biking is a great way to explore new routes, spend some time with friends, burn some serious calories, and of course, enjoy some fresh air.
